DUBLIN, Ohio — Bound Tree Medical, a national distributor of prehospital emergency medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals for EMS providers, set up a petition this month to urge Congress to advance the “Supporting Our First Responders Act.”
The legislation would authorize $50 million in grants to cover EMS hiring, training, equipment and vehicles.
“Congress must act now in order to equip our EMTs and paramedics with the support that they need so they can continue to provide our communities with the support and care they deserve,” Rob Meriweather, president of emergency preparedness for Bound Tree, said in a video announcing the petition drive.
